PARKLAND HIGH. THE BACKLASH

I believe that we have reached a defining moment in America's
war against its children. The massacre last week in Parkland, Florida, suddenly galvanized the people who can REALLY make the difference. I speak of the students themselves. Not the politicians, not the FBI, not the security guards, not the teachers, not even the parents but the children of those parents.
I have long believed that if there was to be a change in the gun laws of America it would have to be accomplished by the new generation of Americans who repudiate completely the ethos of their parents when it comes to the second amendment.
No longer are these kids going to tolerate being sitting ducks in the schools where they have been sent to learn. They have suddenly found a voice; a LOUD VOICE and this voice is not demanding a change in their school curriculum but a change in the mind-set of the politicians and law makers. Spontaneously this week, rallies and protest marches have been taking place all over the United States led by the students themselves telling the adults of the land that they  HAVE HAD ENOUGH. Enough of their blood has been shed, enough of the excuses that have been made, enough of the security barriers that they have to pass through every day en-route to their class rooms, enough of the flim flam and the hand wringing. It hasn't worked and these kids, the next generation, are going to come up with their own solutions that WILL WORK.
Wait for it. The first demand, I hear, is to return prayer to the classrooms.
Well if that doesn't  confirm what the Bible says:  "That a little child shall lead them."
Hallelujah. America, there is hope yet and it won't come from Congress.

Jubilate.

Ian
