Greece: They just sold the farm.

In my last post on Greece I speculated that, in the aftermath of the "NO" of the Greek referendum, they would be back to the drachma by the end of the month. I was wrong. Instead, last night, the government decided to sell themselves and the Greek people to their creditors in Europe.
Well, that is the short version of the outcome.
Here is a list of the demands from Brussels( E.U. Headquarters) that had to be met:  Increase Value Added Tax on all goods to 27%, increase the retirement age to 67 years, increase all income tax. Sell off 70, 000 public properties to available buyers and send the money to Brussels. Sell the port of Pireus and send the money to Brussels. Sell the airports on all of the Greek Islands and privatize all Government-run institutions. Reduce the military by 10, 000 troops. Allow IMF (international Monetary Fund) observers into the country to ensure no cheating and sign fidelity pledges that any advance of Euro funds would be paid back on time.
That, my good friends, is slavery 21st century style and a new form of occupation.
Many years ago the wisdom of God's Word declared the "Borrower to be servant to the lender."
Whether 2,100 B.C.  or  2,100 A.D. the principle is still true.
Pay your bills on time or bad things will happen.

Jubilate.
