Here in Canada we have had the coldest February ON RECORD.
Not only have the temperatures not exceeded freezing point for the whole month, they have been 10 -15 C below average!
For the second year in succession the Great Lakes have been 90% frozen over and the polar bears are loving it. There may be a few wandering around the streets of Toronto soon.
What surprises me, (or should it really) is the strange silence of the meteorologists about this whole question of the 'warming planet'.
A few years ago it was all about the perils of rising sea levels, the retreat of the glaciers and the loss of the polar ice.
Now they solemnly intone about the latest polar vortex that has brought 10 feet of snow to Boston and wrought havoc and death across middle America and NEVER ONCE mention the former fad of "Global Warming".
Just as well. At it's best climatology is voodoo science, at it's worst it is a cynical grab of taxpayer's money that has cost western nations billions of dollars whilst lining the pockets of its promoters.
The Bible says: "What does the Lord require of thee but to love justice and mercy and walk humbly before Him." Let's do that my friends and leave the thermostat in His Hands.
