For your Summer enjoyment. THE CREATURE

Whoever said the study of finances is a boring affair has never read
"THE CREATURE FROM JEKYLL ISLAND"
If you want to know why Detroit is selling its parking meters, the municipal airport and the Tunnel to Canada to avoid going bust, the answer is what happened a hundred years ago on Jekyll Island, Georgia.

It was there the greatest scam in American History was perpetrated when a cabal of international bankers and financial grandees formed a banking monopoly called THE FEDERAL RESERVE.
In one blatant and audacious master scheme these men, working in collaboration with the federal government, took from the Congress of the United States the right to print and produce money.

Hey presto, no longer was the gold in Fort Knox the standard by which the value of U.S. currency would be measured. Instead the U.S Dollar would be given a notional value that the banking monopoly would decide, AND they could print as much as they wished!
All this magic, a century later, has turned America from the world's leading creditor to the world's greatest debtor nation.
"The Creature from Jekyll Island, written by Lou Griffin, is a masterpiece and is a must read for everyone who wants to keep out of the hands of the money lenders.

For your Summer reading; GOLDFINDER

I have always been an avid fan of treasure hunter books and one of the best I have read is "GOLDFINDER" It is a nail biter.

In 2001 Keith Jessop, a Yorkshire salvage diver, wrote the account of how he and his team, "Jessop Marine", located the wreck of  H.M.S. Edinburgh and recovered over 400 gold ingots from her strong-room.

The warship had been sunk in 1941  returning from Russia with Stalin's payment to England for arms supplied for the Soviet war effort.

The wreck lay for over forty years, lost to all but memory, in its icy North Atlantic tomb.

"Goldfinder" is the gripping narrative of how Jessop and a cadre of dare-devil divers braved the perils and pressures of nearly a thousand feet of water to pull up $100,000,000 of bullion.

Ever since I read the story I have preached with new fervor on the treasure hunting parables of Jesus. You will be able to order it from your local library and, if you can find a comfortable chair, be prepared to cross a day off your calendar.

For your Summer Reading

The next 'must' read on my summer list is:

"THE COURT OF THE RED CZAR"  by Simon Sebag Montefiore.

This is a vivid, riveting account of Joesph Stalin and his courtiers; killers, fanatics, black-hearted thugs, women and children in the decades of his supreme power.
In a seamless meshing of exhaustive research, Montefiore gives us everyday detail of the life of a monster. A monster who plays his deadly game of power and paranoia at debauched dinners in Black Sea villas and in the apartments at the Kremlin.
We witness first hand how this megalomaniac carried out his terrifying purges against friend and foe alike and how their families lived in a secret world of fear, betrayal, murder and sexual degeneracy.

Montefiore gives an unprecedented insight into Stalin... the man, the human being and the beast.
Read this book and you will thank God that you were born with the blessings of the gospel message instead of communism and that, after fifty years, the West won the Cold War.
