Don't believe everything that you hear.

Polar Bear Attack
  in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada

These are photographs of an actual
  polar bear attacking a man.

The pictures were taken while people
watched and could do nothing to stop the attack!

Reports from the
  local newspaper say that the
victim will make a full
  recovery.

The photos are
  below.

May your troubles
always be smaller than your imagination

Please help me I'm falling!

It takes all sorts to tickle people's imagination (and their fears).

We featured a ceiling painting in Monday's post. Here is a floor painting in the pent-house of a ten story Texas apartment building.

Imaginations can sometimes run amok and need to be brought under control before they become full blown phobias.

In Psalm 91 David speaks about "Treading down the dragon."

Seen a dragon recently? No, and I don't think you are likely to for they exist only in the realm of phobia and fantasy.

Nevertheless, they can dominate our decisions and choices unless they are tamed.
Blaise Pascal said: " Many terrible things have happened to me in my life, most of which never took place."

Think about that when you next feel like you are falling through the floor.

It may only be a cunning illusion from you know who.

This week: The funnies

Well, if this glass was wholly transparent this little room would be the subject of some rare mobile photos.
Nothing like doing your ablutions in the middle of Main Street.

There is a gem of a verse tucked away in Hebrews that reads:

" But God sees everything and everybody: everything is naked and exposed before the eyes of the One who made us."

With Him there is only two way glass. He sees us at our best and at our worst; at our finest moments and, yes, at our most embarrasing, and still loves us.

Great news to meditate today; maybe while you are on the throne!

This week: The funnies

Laughter is a good medicine. A merry heart, says Solomon, makes for a cheerful countenance.

Here's one sent by David Barker  as an incentive to help our smoking friends quit the habit.(it is a ceiling painting in a designated smoking area)

If you don't want to quit you can ask the man at the top of this grave if he will preach your favourite sermon at your funeral.
