This week: different posts from different people.

Today's contribution is from my old friend David Barker. David originates from Liverpool and in England we  worked extensively together in team evangelism. He and his wife Irene live in the Vancouver area.

Having heard about the 99% of the "Take over Wall Sreet" protestors, he asks the question "Where is the one percent?" and supplies the answer. Read the above.

After his dramatic conversion to Christianity, Malcolm Muggeridge became dean of the university of Edinburgh. After two years he resigned with these pungent words.

"Dean indeed. I came here to further the spiritual and educational life of the university but during my tenure have done nothing but listen to the complaints of students with over-sized libidios whining for drugs and grovelling for sex."

Straight words, Malcolm for which, in our brave New World, (like Socrates of old) you would be forced to drink hemlock!

Mike mastin, an old friend from Perth, Australia, provided me with this agonizing shot of Christians martyred for their faith in Northern Nigeria.
From the persecutions under Nero, to the slaughter of a million Armenian Christians by Turkey in 1920, to the present day atrocities inflicted by fanatical Mulsims in Indonesia and India, the church has ever been the target for the hatred of the devil.
What is the distinction in the modern day massacres of Christians?

Why we have the photographs to prove them.

Then why have these scenes not been broadcast for the world to see?

Ah! There we have yet another strategy of hell.

The suppression of the truth.

A solemn point to ponder for your breakfast today.

This week; Different posts from different places.

This little beauty was sent by one of my Face book friends from Australia.

There is humour but also a truth.

It's to do with being a witness.

When the rooster reaches the court house he will need to provide an answer to this question.

"Do you solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God?"

There is a lot riding upon our witness for Christ or what some call our Christian Testimony.

Someone once said: "If you were arrested for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you?"

Make sure you are bold in your confession of faith, tell the whole truth and don't be a chicken.

This week: different posts from different places.

New Post (British Humour at its best) from Rod Lovett in Cyprus!

WORLD SURVEY BY PHONE

Last month a world-wide survey was conducted by the UN.

The only question asked was:

"Could you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?"The survey was a massive failure because of the following:

1. In Eastern Europe they didn't know what "honest" meant.
2. In Western Europe they didn't know what "shortage" meant.
3. In Africa they didn't know what "food" meant.
4. In China they didn't know what "opinion" meant.
5. In the Middle East they didn't know what "solution" meant.
6. In South America they didn't know what "please" meant.
7. In the USA they didn't know what "the rest of the world" meant.
8. In the UK they hung up as soon as they heard the Indian accent.

Now, having said all of that, let me ask you a question while I have you on the line.
Do you know God's telephone number?  You don't?  Well try  JER 33:3.

This verse reads  "He shall call upon me and I will answer him."

Best thing about it is God's line is always open, talk as long as you want, there are no charges and you will always get an answer.
Have a great day.

This week: Posts from different places and different people.

This week I have a special contribution by my friend, Rod Lovett, from Cyprus. He writes that a "A picture is worth a thousand words, but this one is worth a trillion!"

House Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero Jr., R-Norwalk, pictured standing, far right, speaks while colleagues Rep. Barbara Lambert, D-Milford and Rep. Jack F. Hennessy, D-Bridgeport, play solitaire Monday week ago as the House convened to vote on the debt impasse. (AP) The guy sitting in the row in front of these two.....he's on Facebook, and the guy behind Hennessy is checking out the baseball scores. These are the folks that couldn't get the budget out on time, and are about to control US health care, cap and trade, and the list goes on and on. This is just one of their 3-DAY WORK WEEKS  (salary is about $179,000 per year).

Do we wonder that, as we speak, there are thousands camped out in the capital cities of the world asking "what is going on?"

Enquire no further. We have the answer.

Best wishes from:
Rod Lovett
