After watching 18 days of uprising on the streets of Cairo and listening to the insistent chorus of "Out with Mubarak" it was astonishing to see, the day after the ouster of the strong man, a huge mob roaring "Death to Israel".
Hey Presto! We have it. The chief key to unifying Islam is to incite hatred of Israel.
Whatever emerges from these current seismic shifts in the Arab world, there will be the ever present, ominous drumbeat of "Death to Israel"
"Death to Israel" from Hamas, from Iran, from Lebanon, from the Muslim Brotherhood from everywhere and from every side:
"Death to Israel"
Hey presto! Another insight.
Jesus said: "When you see the nations rise up and surround Israel, know that the end is near."
Strange to say, the rage of Islam against Israel will hasten the return of the Messiah.
In the midst of the present upheaval, riot and revolution in the Middle East, I find this to be the one truly comforting thought.
The day of Christ's appearing is at hand.

Islam: yesterday, today and tomorrow.
To say that Islam is a religion given to peace is not only a misinformed statement but it also belies a complete ignorance of its centuries old history upon earth. It also airbrushes from the pages of the Koran the passages that urge violence against the non-believers.
With the re-awakening of militant Islam in the last thirty years we should all come to some understanding of its core teachings.
Disparate and contradictory passages exist within the Koran.
In the Sura it states "Kill unbelievers wherever you find them".
(Sura 2:19)
But elsewhere it speaks of "Allah, the all merciful and compassionate One".
If you have problems reconciling the two, you are not alone. So do the rest of us. Regardless, it is the texts of the Sura that the Muslim extremists use to fuel the fires of their mad war of Jihad.
And moderate Muslims cannot have it both ways. On the one hand declare themselves to be emmisaries of a loving compassionate God while on the other give vocal or silent support to their blood crazed brothers.
Will the real God please stand up and make Himself and His will known?
We believe He already has, in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Islam: yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Some three years ago our premier, Dalton McGuinty, flirted with the notion of allowing the Ontario muslim community to exercise their own Sharia law.
Astonishing but true.
Scarcely was the idea floated than there was a huge uproar of protest led by the outraged ladies of Ontario. Suddenly this benighted excursion into the land of Islam was over.
For some time afterward Premier McGuinty travelled quietly and incognito under his own burqua.
But it was the burqua that was precisely the point at issue with our Canadian ladies. They have enjoyed freedoms for so long to even remotely entertain the idea of suffering under an Islamic mandate of ANY SORT.
But we must ask how were the freedoms that we all enjoy secured?
Surprise! These are the fruits of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, voted "Man of All Time" by the Time Magazine in 2000.
He is the Champion of all human freedoms.
Ladies, because of Him you can wear your ball-room gown tonight instead of a burqua!

Islam: Yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Last Thursday in Paris, President Sarkosy declared multiculturalim to be a broken, social experiment.
He was referring to the large muslim population that has failed to integrate into the French society.
His remarks follow similiar revelations from other European leaders (Angela Merkel, David Cameron and Juan Aznar) who have proclaimed multiculturalism to be a total failure.
The penny seems to have dropped....... at last.
If these European leaders had consulted before hand with any one with knowledge of the Islamic faith, they would have never embarked upon their myopic immigration policy.
They would have been told that a muslim's loyalty is to the "One Nation of Islam" before any patriotism to the host country in which they may reside.
To invite large populations of Muslims into the House of the West is not to produce a happy, homogenous family, but rather to have a house divded by dysfunction and quarrel.

What is the solution, since in Canada, as elsewhere, the folks are already here?

In this city is one of the wonders of the ancient world - The Great Library. 2000 years of human history are enshrined in its tablets, parchments and papyrus scrolls.
Caliph Omar speaks thus: "Any books that speak contrary to the Koran are blasphemous; any that speak in support of the Koran are superfluous. Burn them all!"
And so the bath-house fires were stoked for several weeks with the irreplaceable treasures of the Great Library ofAlexandria
Learning. Who needs it?
Now turn the clock forward to New York 2011. AD. The House of Patents. Herein are several million patents of inventions that have changed the world.
Over 93% come from the Christian West. Less than 1% come from Islamic dominated countries.
" Learning. Who needs it?"
Let me echo the words of my college professor. "You must think, Gentlemen, think!"
